All about me

Greetings before I talk about my phone , I would like to formally introduce myself , My name is Farhan , living in Karachi Pakistan working as a marketer in a pharmaceutical company during the day and a tech geek in my free time beside spending time with my wife and two kids ( check the Flickr stream for their pics) .
I had been fascinated by tech since my first IBM AT 8Mhz ( 16 MHZ turbo speed) green monochrome monitor equipped personal computer which I had in 1988 to 1992 switched to a whopping fast 33mhz ( turbo speed 40 mhz) 386 in 1993 with a VGA monitor and a shrieking Epson LX 800 Dotmatrix printer , Creative CD ROM and speakers and a beefy 130mb Hard Disk ( my computer vendor told me dude it's going to last you a lifetime)time changed and I shifted to USA for my studies and upgraded to a 120MHZ P1 Acer Aspire with a Canon BJ printer , handheld scanner and later to a AMD 333 MHZ laptop , followed by a Compaq 650mhz Presario to a pathetic HP 1107ZT laptop to a Dell 5100 to a Acer 2700 WlMI to a Dell 6000 to my current Compaq 6810EA 2 ghz Core 2 Duo ( 4mb L2 cache ) , 1.5gb ram , 120 gb HD , DVD writer the works .

On my phone side like my laptops I had my fair share my first phone was a Ericsson T28z running on Sprint Network in USA later shifted to Pakistan and my first phone was a Motorola Startac GSM based phone , followed by a Nokia 3210 to a Nokia 6180 , to Nokia 7110 ( Matrix anyone ) the button pressing , scroll wheel equipped beauty follwed by a nokia 3310 and Nokia 3330 , a one night stand with 3410 followed by a Samsung flip phone with auto anteena and blue screen later my father got me a Nokia 7610 and after a couple of years I shifted to PocketPC himalaya for 2 years and then to Nokia 6680 , Nokia 6110 , Nokia 6310 , Nokia E61 , Nokia E70 , nokia N73 , brief stunts with E65 , E50 and E61i and finally with my Nokia N958gb so from 1998 to 2008 I used around 20 phones on average one phone every 6 months phew that's a lot of phones .

On connectivity I have Warid unlimited GPRS :( no EDGE or 3G ) , 256 kbps Wifi line at home and 1mbps at office so I'm pretty much well connected
