Warid is celebrating it's 3rd birthday in Pakistan and offering many freebies to their subscribers as free min , free SMS , Free MMS , free ringtones ,and even free alerts and phone book backups .
According to Warid ( part of Abu Dhabi group and SingTel ) they have invested USD 1.5 billion in Pakistan and plan to invest some 1 billion more within 2009 way to go
the only sector growing in Pakistan is the telecom one.

Warid will have to play aggressively this year, in order to retain its position...it is already couple of million subscribers behind Telenor...
You'r correct Aamir , Warid does need to play aggresively especially in their marketing , they had EDGE running in Karachi for weeks but they are still talking about their GPRS Capability while the snap of phone on their ad shows 'E' .
